The Ctgb recently reassessed 116 currently authorised products using a new European methodology regarding risks of exposure for local residents. The reassessment, based on the EFSA model, showed that all authorised products are safe. Considering these results, the Board sees no necessity to intervene in the conditions of authorisation for these products. Since 1 January 2016, the effective date of the new European directives, the EFSA model has become the basis of risk assessment for local residents and bystanders.
