Vewin list of pesticides in surface water updated

The list of active substances and metabolites of plant protection products and biocides that are detected at one or more occasions above the drinking water limit, including the relevant monitoring data, is communicated to Ctgb by Vewin on a yearly basis.

Beginning in January 2019 Ctgb will use the monitoring data over 2013-2017 for the assessment of the drinking water criterion (national assessment for fate in the environment) for the production of drinking water from surface water.

The updated list can be consulted at www.vewin.nl/probleemstoffen from January 2019 onwards. Prior to the submission of an application for product authorization, applicants can request the raw data needed to calculate the 90th-percentiles for individual abstraction points from Vewin.

NB:

Due to replacement of one of the drinking water abstraction points (Stellendam > Haringvliet), an additional edit is necessary in order to determine the 90-percentile concentrations from this abstraction point. Please refer to the updated working instruction.
