Update Vewin list of plant protection products in surface water published
Vewin updated their list concerning the presence of plant protection products exceeding the drinking water criterion of 0.1 µg/L in surface water used for the production of drinking water.
The list of active substances and metabolites in plant protection products exceeding the drinking water criterion of 0.1 µg/L including the relevant monitoring data is communicated to Ctgb by Vewin on a yearly basis.
From January 2018 onwards Ctgb will use the monitoring data over 2012-2016 for the assessment of the drinking water criterion (national assessment for fate in the environment) for the production of drinking water from surface water.
The updated list can be consulted at www.vewin.nl/probleemstoffen. Applicants can request the raw data at Vewin in order to enable the calculation the 90-percentile for individual abstraction points, prior to the submission of the application for product authorisation.
